Engineers for a Sustainable Future (ESF) is an Oregon environmental nonprofit organization that supports federal and state action to address climate change and accelerating the move to clean green renewable energy.
The move to renewable energy will result in the development of new, green energy hubs or centers across our nation. Oregon has the renewable energy resources (wind, solar, hydropower, and geothermal) to become one of our country’s green energy hubs. Developing Oregon’s renewable energy resources will create over 30,000 permanent jobs operating the new renewable energy power plants and over 1,000,000 construction jobs.
The attached link is a presentation that ESF will be sending to Oregon’s federal and state legislators that provides a historical look back, renewable energy potential, barriers, and path forward for Oregon to become a new green energy hub in America.
