The following is a new review of my book, “FUELING AMERICA, An Insider’s Journey.”
Fueling America; An Insider’s Journey provides a unique view into one of the most poorly understood of all industries – the dynamic and cyclic oil and gas industry. A journal of author Jack Kerfoot’s forty plus year career takes the reader inside the bowels of major oil companies, independents and national oil companies around the globe.
Kerfoot delivers a very readable novel that is highlighted by his story telling ability. Throughout the book it becomes obvious that this highly technical and extraordinarily successful explorer, is so because of his work ethic, sacrifice and leadership. Whether leading a team of technical professionals, meeting with CEO’s or government leaders, he beat the odds time and time again in this high stakes gamble.
Throughout the book, the author keeps the reader wanting to learn more about the energy that fuels this country. He intersperses facts and data to support the complex supply and demand picture today and tomorrow. Kerfoot challenges the paradigm that fossil fuels could or should be the long terms solution to fuel America.
A great read for anyone who wants to learn more about the energy industry or even industry professionals seeking to re-live yesterday. A highly recommended book and the author is to be commended.
