Duke Energy Corporation has announced it will install 530 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in 2019 in Florida. Duke Energy is a multinational electric power holding company, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Duke Energy will install public charging stations at apartments and work sites across Florida. Duke Energy has selected NovaCHARGE LC to supply and install the charging station. Duke Energy has also announced plans to develop solar parks in Florida with total capacity of 700 MW.
Duke Energy is one of many electric utilities that are moving into the EV charging station market. In my opinion, this is evidence that America’s move to EVs will happen much faster than many “experts” currently predict.
