Texas, the Lone Star State has long been known as the oil capital of the United States. Texas is now being recognized as the wind capital of the United States. Texas produces more energy from wind than any other state in America.
The development of new wind farms in Texas doesn’t appear to be slowing down. Taaleri Energia and NorthRenew Energy have announced that the TG East Wind Project will uses turbines from Senvion S.A. The wind project is located in Knox County, approximately 200 miles northeast of Dallas, Texas.
Taaleri Energia develops energy infrastructure projects and is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. NorthRenew is a renewable energy investment company and is headquartered in Becket, Massachusetts. Senvion will manufacture the turbines and provide full-service operations and maintenance for the wind project. Senvion manufactures wind turbines and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.
The TG East Wind Project will have a total of 58 wind turbines, which will have 275 MW capacity. The wind project is scheduled to commence operations in 2020.
