Morocco’s Growing Solar Power

Morocco has announced plans to build a second concentrated solar power (CSP) complex. The World Bank will provide US $125 million financing for the Noor-Midelt CSP complex. The first CSP complex, the Noor-Ouarzazate is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
The Noor-Ouarzazate CSP complex will have 580 MW capacity. The Noor-Midelt CSP complex has a planned capacity of 600 MW to 800 MW capacity. Design and construction of the Noor-Midelt complex will be led by the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy.
