Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers around the world have been developing wireless charging stations. The Kia Motor Corporation, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea has successfully completed a test on a wireless charging station prototype. Bavarian Motor Works (BMW), headquartered in Munich, Germany is also working on a wireless charging station for plug-in hybrid EVs. Nissan Motor Company, headquartered in Yokohama, Japan has been working with American engineering company WiTricity to develop wireless EV charging stations.
In my opinion, wireless charging stations will contribute to the move from combustion engine vehicles to EVs. Automobile manufacturers in Asia, Europe and the United States believe more new EVs will be purchased than combustion engine vehicles between 2025 to 2030. The automobile and energy industries are undergoing a revolution in technology which we will seen in the very new future
